Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a 2016 romantic drama film written, directed and produced by Karan Johar. It features Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan in lead roles. It is being said that Lisa Haydon and Kajol also have a small role in the film. K Jo is returning to the director’s chair after a gap of three years. His last movie was Student of the Year in 2012, which starred SidharthMalhotra, VarunDhawan and Alia Bhatt. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has a story line based on relationships and heartbreaks. It will be the first time that Aishwarya, 41, will share screen space with Ranbir, 32, and Anushka.. On 6 February at the India Conference at Harvard, Johar revealed that in the film Kapoor plays the character of a Hindu boy, Aayan, and Sharma plays a Muslim girl, Alizeh.

Screening issue
On 8 October 2016, Indian political party, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), proclaimed that they would not allow the release of the film, following nationwide protests surrounding the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on 18 September 2016 and the decision by Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India preventing the release of films with Pakistani actors in four states – Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Goa. Citing the casting of Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan, in the film, the MNS warned theater owners around the country to not screen the film, threatening them with vandalism. Announcing that security will be tightened at theaters along with sufficient police protection, Maharashtra chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, commented on the issue, saying, “Anyone found taking the law into their hands will be dealt with firmly.” He also informed that 12 MNS members were sent to judicial custody after they barged into a Mumbai theater and held a protest on 19 October 2016.
My Gut Feel and comments:
I’m not sure what scares me more, that you will never start loving me, or that I will never stop loving you. I tried to hate you but the only thing I hated is how much I loved you. Loving someone who doesn’t love you in return… is like trying to fly with a broken wing…
Ae Dil hai mushkil projected as a story of one sided love, friendship and other complex human emotions. Exact plot has not been revealed which increases the curiosity about the movie. Songs are brilliant, star cast is interesting. Karan Johar as a director is quite good and is capable of doing justice to this kind of story line.
I hope over all story line and screenplay is align to Indian audience’s sensibility and one of the Karan’s film “ Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna” was too progressive in nature to handle by typical mass audience which resulted in not so good performance at Indian box office as compare to overseas.

Going by my gut feeling I am givingthis movie3 stars out of 5, three days before the release.
