My Gut Feel and comments:
I have seen few interviews of Rohit Dhawan son of ace director David Dhawan after watching the trailer of Dishoom. I found Rohit a sincere director who is confident and knows his art well. He already delivered a hit movie Desi Boyz although it was indeed an average movie. I case of Dishoom although with the backing of Sajid Nadiadwala as extravagant producer film seems lacking the eventual punch and higher a chance of this turning out to an average movie with a graph going up and down with some inconsistent screenplay. John and Varun’s pairing reminds pairing of Abhishek Bachchan and Uday chopra’s pairing of Dhoom franchise. Although the subject of the movie is fresh however treatment seems repetitive which disallows this movie to turned out to be an above average movie. No doubt it has the masala which does appeal to mass audience however even chances of box office success somehow seems less.
I love to go wrong and wish it to turn out to be an entertainer however chances are quite low going by my instinct.
Going by my gut feeling I am giving Dishoom 2.5 stars out of 5, four days before the release.
